AI invents facts, confidently. AI almost never says "I don't know" unless you tell it to. It will give you a wrong GST rate, a wrong law, or a wrong date in the same confident tone as a correct answer. Example: Deshmukh & Associates asks AI for the late filing penalty on a specific return. AI states a number with full confidence. The number is wrong. Example: Sunita asks AI the correct gap between two of her father-in-law's medicines. AI answers with full confidence. The answer is wrong. Always cross-check any number, name, date, law or rate against an official source before you use it - and check any health fact with a doctor or pharmacist, never AI alone.
How to cross-check. Use at least one of these every time: ask AI for the exact source of the fact, ask the same question a second way and see if the answer changes, or check one fact yourself against a real document. Example: Vidarbha Agro Equipments asks AI for a spare part safety standard number. Before trusting it, Sunil asks where the number comes from, asks the same question in different words, and checks it against the actual certificate in his file. Example: Sunita asks AI which document her child's school needs for an admission form. Before trusting it, she asks where the rule comes from, asks the same question a different way, and checks it against the school's own circular.
Confirmation bias. If you ask a question already sounding sure of the answer, AI tends to agree with you. That agreement feels like proof. It is not proof - it is AI being polite. This is exactly what RULES line 3 exists to stop. Example: Meena asks, "Wednesday launches never work for us, right?" already sure of the answer. AI agrees instead of checking her actual sales data first. Example: Sunita asks, "Tuition classes are a waste of money, right?" already sure of the answer. AI agrees instead of asking what her children's results actually show.
# 4.4 — Catch The Agreement
When to use: Any time you want to test whether AI is really agreeing with you, or just being polite.
I have an idea for my business. Before you tell me what you think, argue against it as strongly as you honestly can. Then give me your honest opinion, even if it is different from what I want to hear. My idea: [YOUR BUSINESS IDEA, STATED CONFIDENTLY] RULES: Do not invent facts. Ask me for real data. Challenge my thinking.
Example filled in for you
IDEA: I am sure I should stop sending the children for tuition classes and teach them at home myself instead
Tip: State your idea the same confident way you would say it to a person - soften it, and the test does not work.
Your turn — 5 minutes. Write down one idea you already believe is right - for your business, or for your household. Run Catch The Agreement. Read the argument against your idea to your neighbour. Share in the WhatsApp group whether AI's honest opinion changed anything for you.
Watch out: Reading AI's pushback is not the same as listening to it. If your decision never changes after running this test, you are only using it for show.
